Hiring Event: Scott AFB

Team Scott

Just a reminder that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes [HOH] Program invites you to its Transition Summit on July 12-13 at the Scott Event Center.  HOH is a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning servicemembers, and military spouses find meaningful employment opportunities.  This summit will be the largest, national-level event of this nature hosted by Scott AFB this year. It includes panel discussions about the top five growth industries, as well as keynote addresses by AMC Vice Commander, Maj General Wayne Schatz, and U.S. TRANSCOM’s Chief of Staff, MG David Clarkson.   The event concludes with a Hiring and Education Fair featuring more than 90 exhibitors.

July 12 kicks off at 1:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and includes a Hiring Our Heroes job fair, keynote remarks, industry briefings, and panel discussions with Q&A. The audience focus is employers, commanders, Airmen, spouses and veterans.

July 13 starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m., and the day includes keynote remarks, discussions with Q&A, employment/transition workshops, and a hiring and education fair.
All are welcomed even if you were not able to pre-register, and any veterans  needing access to the base should stop by the Visitors Control Center for assistance.
